Does anyone care what will happen to Russian youth?

God's ways are definitely not ours!!! I have a story! The neighbourhood where we live as a base considered to be quite criminal. it's not safe to walk in it when it's dark.  People are addicted to alcohol and drugs, etc. 

When you walk on the streets you can find lots of trash, and at some places even empty syringes and boxes from different pills that look like they are from drugs. dark place... but His light shines and darkness can't overwhelm it. that's why we are there! 

Once we did intercession walking those streets and found a place where youth were doing drugs, we didn't see people but we saw enough to see what was happening there. it was trashy! So we stopped and decided to pray for that place and lift up God's name there... we tried to stop this lawlessness first "in the spiritual realm", then in the "physical world" - something strange started happening. 

We tried to do it legally through our police but there was nothing done on their side about the existing problem, sadly. So we prayed and asked God to do something about it but we never expected that one of our YWAM staff's son will get into "trouble" there. not surprised though! this boy made a choice to live and try pleasures of this world since he thinks to be Christian is boring and I don't even know if he ever prays to GOD. sadly he is no longer a Christian. And of course there is pain in his mother's heart since she wants him to be with God and godly but he ignores everything connected with Christianity. He became very angry teen, quite independent, rude and doesn't obey her anymore. sad and poor thing she is...  this time he started going to this place where they drink and do drugs and etc. so-called "priton" in Russian... in English I don't even know how to call it. maybe a "den"? So his Mom was looking for him and found him finally there "drunk" and now prosecutor was asked to interfere that this place would be closed down.  We hope it will happen indeed and no more "youth gatherings" will happen there. I just want to give glory to God for what He had done as we had started praying. God cares for this youth and He will change the situation! and His name will be glorified through that, I believe! That made me think about so many young people in Russia doing drugs today and none caring for their lives and future. this is the future generation of my country... and it is dying out already because of drug addiction! sad reality that needs to be changed! I want these children to be free from all sorts of addictions and adults care more for their future. such injustice happening everywhere and can we find people that care and do something about that? Jesus does! so should we!
